Letting Go… a Short Story

Recently, I entered a short story contest on Reedsy that requires a 1,000-3,000 word story to be written on one of their prompts. They run this contest every week. The prompt I selected was to write a story about a top ten list.

I had no idea how this was going to go, but it spoke to me and I just had to do it. I just let my fingers do their thing on the keyboard, and this was the story that poured out of my soul in about two hours. I cried as I wrote it and when I read it afterword. I edited it and then pressed submit.

So, get out your tissues and click the link to read it if you’d like. Hit the like button at the bottom if it brought you to tears and/or your enjoyed it! ☺️🙏🏻 And thank you for your support!
